China’s HR Market Brought Under Regulatory Control

For the first time, legislation has been introduced to regulate China’s human resources (HR) sector. The new code – The Interim Regulations on the Human Resources Market – sets out the requirements and standards the industry is now expected to comply with across a range of areas, including market development and market supervision/management, while also spelling out the legal responsibilities of the service agencies and other bodies active within the sector. The regulations, as promulgated by the State Council, will take effect as of 1 October this year.
