The theme of the Eco Expo Asia 2017 was 'Innovative Solutions for Greener Cities'. As a leading international trade fair on environmental protection, the fair attracted 340 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions. For the first time, there were group pavilions from Germany’s Bavaria and Korea. A highlight this year was a new startup zone with 15 exhibitors. The expo attracted some 93 buying missions from 28 countries and regions, gathering more than 2,300 corporate representatives.
The HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair along with concurrent electronicAsia featured some 4,300 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions. There were 140 buying missions from 64 countries and regions representing more than 9,000 companies. In the Hall of Fame, 550 big brands showcased their eye-catching devices. The Startup Zone featured double the number of entrepreneurs from last year, close to 100 startups this time. There were pitching sessions for practice and mentor talks for entrepreneurs.
The first Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo, under the theme 'Stadium Live', featured six specialised zones: Outdoor Adventure, Sports Hub, Health & Fitness, Photography World, Fun & Play, and Handicraft Market. Apart from a wide range of sports products, hobby supplies and interest classes, exhibitors also offered product trials and free experiential activities, including rock climbing, emerging sports try-outs and handicraft workshops. The fair featured about 90 exhibitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Japan and Korea, showcasing a broad selection of sports and leisure products and services from 130 brands. More than 40 on-site events and activities were well received by visitors.
