Convention & Exhibition Business: Market Trends
FILMART 2018 was Asia’s largest film and television market platform for business, with 850 exhibitors and more than 8,400 visitors from 76 countries and regions. Among them 361 exhibitors came from 15 Belt and Road countries. FILMART featured 12 international names with 36 major pavilions from 18 countries and regions. Belt and Road cultural connectivity has also been a key element in technology advances in film and TV, particularly for virtual reality and augmented reality opportunities.
The annual twin shows in two venues – ‘Hong Kong International Jewellery Show’ at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and ‘Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show’ at the AsiaWorld-Expo – make the largest marketplace of its kind. Together the shows attracted more than 4,550 exhibitors from 52 countries and regions. An array of events included a gala dinner, seminars on jewellery technology, marketing strategies, jewellery craftsmanship and quality standard, a buyer forum, jewellery parades and networking receptions.
The Hong Kong International Franchising Show 2017 was a premium platform for franchisors and perspective franchisees to meet and explore opportunities in Asia. It was a one-stop platform and a gallery offering collaboration with over 110 global brands. Food and beverage was a prime sector. The show featured 130 exhibitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Korea, ASEAN, Australia and Europe and North America, mainly from catering, retailing, education and various personal and business services.
