Convention & Exhibition Business: Market Trends
Eco Expo Asia 2018, a fair of innovative green technologies and products, attracted some 340 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions. Some 97 buying missions, comprising more than 2,300 corporate representatives from 25 countries and regions, were organised to visit the expo. Carrying the messages of green synergy, low carbon emission and smart city theme, it featured nine thematic zones like Green Buildings and Energy Efficiency, Green Transportation, Waste Management and Recycling. Eco Expo included the Eco Asia conference, business matching and the Startup Zone.
The Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2018 gathered 1,075 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions. There were 30 group pavillions including several new pavillions from the Chinese Mainland and the Czech Republic. The fair featured a Liquor & Beverage Products zone, a Whisky and Spirits zone and a Beer zone, together with zones that promote the industry’s all-round development, including Wine Education, Wine Accessories, Equipment and Services and Wine Investment. Some 70 events were organised during the fair, including tasting sessions, thematic sessions, master classes and educational talks. Nearly 19,000 trade buyers from 73 countries and regions attended the three-day fair.
Under the theme 'Tomorrow Lab', Asia’s premier fashion event CENTRESTAGE featured three thematic zones – Allure, Iconic and Metro. It attracted 230 international fashion brands from 22 countries and regions, marking the largest number of exhibitors ever. Hong Kong fashion labels were highlighted in the four-day event. More than 20 runway shows gave local and overseas designers the chance to showcase their latest collections. Fashion trends and industry insights were explored in the seminars, providing a platform for engaging fashion professionals and underlining Hong Kong's position as a fashion hub for Asia.
