Convention & Exhibition Business: Market Trends
The SmartBiz Expo 2017 gathered more than 500 exhibitors from 43 countries and regions to showcase the latest business solutions, technology applications and operations support as a one-stop platform. More than 20 seminars were held, inviting industry experts to examine global market conditions, business opportunities in AI, technological innovation and marketing strategies, as well as the latest trends in online shopping and social media. The Expo also focused on forums, pitching sessions and demonstrations.
The 44th edition of the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair featured 2,100 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions, with new exhibitors from Estonia, Russia, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam, making it the largest event of its kind in Asia, and the second-largest in the world. This year’s Smart-Tech Toys zone gathered a myriad of innovative toys and games that incorporate the latest AR/VR/MR technologies, as well as mobile applications. To respond to the growing demand for STEAM and STREAM educational toys, a STEAM Toys Product Display was set up to draw buyers’ attention.
The 10th edition of the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair showcased fine wine and spirits from a record 1,070 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions. Serbia and Azerbaijan were among the new pavilions and booths, and they expected to benefit from the Belt and Road Initiative. The fair featured 70 special events, over 50 tasting sessions and industry networking. The fair welcomed nearly 20,000 trade buyers and over 25,000 public visitors during its three-day run.
