Convention & Exhibition Business - Market Trends
The first Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo, under the theme 'Stadium Live', featured six specialised zones: Outdoor Adventure, Sports Hub, Health & Fitness, Photography World, Fun & Play, and Handicraft Market. Apart from a wide range of sports products, hobby supplies and interest classes, exhibitors also offered product trials and free experiential activities, including rock climbing, emerging sports try-outs and handicraft workshops. The fair featured about 90 exhibitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Japan and Korea, showcasing a broad selection of sports and leisure products and services from 130 brands. More than 40 on-site events and activities were well received by visitors.
This year’s Book Fair adopted 'Travel' as the theme of the year, under the tag line 'Reading the World ･ People, Places, Passions'. This year’s fair saw a record number of nearly 700 booths from 37 countries and regions, showcasing a diverse selection of reading materials. During the week-long event, around 290 cultural events were held on-site, including renowned writer seminars, new book release presentations and cultural performances at the Art Gallery. The Book Fair this year attracted close to one million visitors.
The HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair 2017 presented a wide spectrum of medical and healthcare devices and services, providing an important business platform for the healthcare industry. A new zone 'World of Healthcare' was introduced to present healthcare products and services, including fitness products, health food and beverages, and nutritional supplements. The Medical Fair this year welcomed a record 270 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions.
